The Minaton was based out of the Greek
Mythological creature the Minotaur, in many stories it had the face of a man and
the body of a bull, in others it was the opposite the face of a bull and the
body of a man. According to Greek Myth
the Minotaur was captured and locked in the labyrinth. Every year for nine
years, seven youths and maidens came as tribute from Athens. These young people
were also locked in the labyrinth for the Minotaur to feast upon.
The creature seen here was brought to life by Zenobia using her magical powers.
The Minaton was a creature of pure gold with
super human strength. He did not speak at all or even made any growling sounds
he just followed every one of Zenobias orders, which in the end was his very
demise.
When they finally arrive to the Shrine, one of the
entrances is blocked by a giant bolder. Zenobia tried to use her magic to open
the entrance but her magic did not work, she then orders the Minaton to remove
the giant bolder with his bare hands and spear. As he removes the stone he looses
his balance with the weight of the boulder... he falls below with the giant
bolder landing on
top of him and killing him.
