Saucers Video Clip

Flying Saucers, UFO's, aliens? well back in the 50's there were everywhere in the theaters, maybe out in the skies in real life who knows?!? you probably know about Roswell, I wont get in to that but it was in that era in US history that this film hit the theaters and the Flying Saucers invaded earth.

"People of earth attention, people of earth attention! This is a voice speaking to you from thousands of miles beyond your planet"

this message took over all radio waves in all countries in all languages for 12 hours, at the 12th hour, silence........ then a tremendous explosion on the surface of the sun.

Because of the activity in the sun, heavy storms and tidal waves hit the earth for 9 days, as the world waited for an invasion from outer space, on the dawn of the 10th day the invasion began. They attacked Washington with the US military fighting back with missiles, fighter planes and anything they could use, the war against these aliens went on for days but it was interference units that toppled the invaders and won the war against The Flying Saucers.

The Flying Saucers Facts

  • To create the movement of the spinning saucers Mr. Harryhausen had spin the top and bottom parts of the disk just a bit then take a frame shot, spin, frame shot, spin, frame shot and so on very difficult and time consuming it must have been.

  • The sound that you hear from the Saucers came from the pipes down in the Hermosa Beach sewage plant as the waste traveled through the pipes it made a strange sound this and other sounds were mixed together to create the very memorable sound of the Flying Saucers.
